Tournaments
BattleTech funded tournaments are the centerpiece of our community and platform. It's how we accomplish our mission to provide a platform for new talent to earn & compete in the world's most popular games.
We have distributed more in CS2 cash prize pools for free-to-enter online tournaments than anyone else.
Nobody pays as fast as we do.
And we will continue to do so as long as we're around.

All CS2 BattleTech tournaments take place on FaceIt.
Getting paid
You MUST have a BattleTech account connected to your FaceIt in order to receive prizes. Failing to do so could result in forfeiture of your prize.
Prize distribution
All tournaments prizes are distributed within 48 hours after the tournament ends. Exceptions will be made in case of cheating reports.
Impact of Rico Pass
Every time someone bids on your Rico Pass, you are earning ETH. See this example for more information.
This is possible due to the passes profit sharing mechanics: 20% of your prize money is shared with the the owner of your pass.
Free to enter tournaments
You can view our prized free to enter tournaments on BattleTech or on our FaceIt page. Join them on FaceIt and make sure your FaceIt account is connected to your BattleTech account!
Prize pool
The prize pool for free tournaments is fixed, ie. $100 for 1st, $50 for 2nd, etc.
Paid tournaments
Paid tournaments have a small entry fee and follow a guaranteed prize pool structure model. BattleTech funds the prize pool with a guaranteed amount of money and the prize pool increases if the total fees collected exceed the guaranteed amount.
For example, if the guaranteed prize pool is 0.5 ETH, and the total fees collected is 2 ETH, the prize pool will increase to 1.5 ETH. If the total fees collected is instead 0.3 ETH, the prize pool will still be 0.5 ETH.
In order to enter a paid tournament, you must register for the tournament on BattleTech. Simply click on the 'Register' button on the tournament page and follow the instructions.

Teams
For 2v2 and 5v5 paid tournaments, a team leader registers on behalf of the team. The team leader is responsible for paying the entry fee for each team member.
The team leader will receive a FaceIt invitation to the tournament and will be responsible for inviting the rest of the team members.
When the tournament is over, the prize money will is distributed on BattleTech to each team member - our system automatically detects who played in the match.
Staking
If you enable this feature, other BattleTech users will be able to pay for your entry fee in exchange for a share of your winnings. In this case, any prize money you earn is split 50% to you and 50% to the person staking your entry fee.
Prize pool
The prize pool for paid tournaments is percentage based, ie. 50% for 1st, 40% for 2nd, etc.
