Web3 Explained
What's this web3 thing?
At BattleTech we use web3 technology to provide a better experience for our players:
- Control: All payouts are sent to your own personal wallet; nobody else controls your money.
- Speed: We distribute rewards as close to real-time as possible. But remember that we need some time to take care of the bad guys!
- Transparency: Anyone can verify who much money was sent, to whom, and when. If you have the tech knowledge, you can also verify our raffle winner selection process.
What you need to know
The most important thing you need to know is that through web3 you are 100% responsible for your funds. You are your own bank.
BattleTech operates on the Base network which works on top of Ethereum and makes your transactions faster and cheaper. This is where your funds are stored.
Automatic wallet set up
When you sign up with BattleTech, a digital wallet is automatically created for you using Privy. This wallet is where your winnings and deposits are stored and managed.
Accessing your wallet
You can access and manage your wallet through your BattleTech account where you can withdraw and deposit.
Depositing funds
In your account page, you will find a deposit section. You can either send funds directly to your wallet, or use one of Privy's deposit methods (Cards, Exchanges, Transfers...)
Depositing funds
Remember to deposit your funds to the base network!
Withdrawing funds
To withdraw funds to Ethereum, use a compatible bridge to transfer your assets from your BattleTech Base wallet back to Ethereum.
Exporting your wallet
If you decide to export your wallet's private key for convenience or safety, ensure you do so in a secure manner. If someone obtains this private key, they will forever have access to the funds in your account!
